SEND Teaching Assistant – Challenging Behaviour
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting a resilient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils displaying challenging behaviour within a supportive Rugby primary setting.
The Role:
• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Implement behaviour plans and positive reinforcement strategies
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities
• Promote emotional regulation and social skills development
• Maintain a safe and structured learning environment
About You:
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
• Calm, confident and consistent approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Team player with excellent communication
• Passionate about making a difference in SEND
