Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Reading
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
An outstanding SEND school in Reading is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a part-time role, working Thursdays and Fridays, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have proven experience working within SEND settings, ideally with a focus on Early Years. We are looking for a strong, confident teacher who can deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills.
You will work closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants, therapists and senior staff to provide a creative, inclusive and structured learning experience that meets the individual needs of every pupil.
Requirements:
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Previous experience teaching in a SEND setting
• Strong understanding of Early Years curriculum and development
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Positive, patient and flexible approach to teaching
