Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an SEND Teacher on behalf of a collection of schools based in Lambeth. The role is a permanent position, with interviews and meeting do be held upon application. Teachers at the school(s) are responsible for the highest standards of planning, teaching, assessment and behaviour management for pupils who have significant SEMH as well as other associated SEN.
The role involves motivating, engaging and inspiring pupils. Facilitating effective, differentiated and child-centred learning, as well as managing behaviour positively and in line with the schools' procedures. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the schools' breakfast, break, lunch, assembly, exercise & enrichment provision, as well as being a role-model of outstanding professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have an extremely strong ability to teach and work successfully with pupils with SEMH. They will possess outstanding communication and organisation skills; ability to work constructively and collaboratively at all times as part of a unified team (amongst other things).
Qualifications and role requirements:
- QTS and NQT Induction completion
- Good first degree in a core subject (essential)
- A range of experience in delivering the primary curriculum or subject area to children with SEMH (essential)
- Experience working with SEMH/SEN.
- DBS on the update service or a willingness to pay for a new one.
