An SEND college located in Morden are looking for a teacher/lecturer to start in August. The centre located within the college is their non-residential, specialist centre for 16-25 year olds with autistic spectrum disorder and complex needs. The centre is designed to be safe, secure and welcoming for the students. There is a dedicated specialist team who work together to deliver bespoke education, therapy and training for young adults from 16 to 25. The college believe that young adults should be respected and have their individual choices, needs and aspirations reflected in the education opportunities made available to them. They encourage independence in all of their learners and support them to achieve their full potential. They have: " Themed learning areas with interactive and assistive technology " Independent living activities including food preparation and gardening " The use of local leisure facilities " Access to vocational subjects within the main college site " Work experience and enterprise activities " High levels of support and specialised services " Target outcomes based on the individual learner's EHCP " Aspirational teaching from a dedicated team They are now looking for SEND teachers to join their team. This is a full time, long term post, Monday to Friday and working hours are 8.30am to 4pm. You will be needed for a minimum of one academic year. Hourly rate is negotiable.
