Job Title: SEND Hub Lead, Mainstream Primary School
Axcis Education is on the search for an unqualified teacher specialising in SEND support. The role is based in a mainstream primary school in the Maypole area, they are looking for an unqualified teacher for their SEND Resource Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparation of activities and resources and ongoing assessment of the pupils within the class as well the leadership of the team of TAs based within the hub. The perfect candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in leading within classrooms and high levels of understanding when it comes to supporting SEND.
This is a lovely and welcoming, small mainstream primary school, the needs of each pupil is at the heart of the school, it is their utmost priority to ensure all children thrive. The school’s resource hub caters for a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD and MLD. The class within the hub is made up of children across all year groups whom are academically and emotionally working at a younger age.
This is a full-time role, working 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate must be experienced in leading classrooms and knowledgeable in SEND support. At minimum the candidate must have a level 3 or level 4 qualification on a relatable field as well as the experience of leading classes.
Requirements:
• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Education, Childcare or another relatable field – Essential
• Working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS Curriculum) and National Curriculum – Highly Desirable
• Experience in working with individuals with moderate SEND needs – Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
