SEN Teaching Assistant | Thornbury | Full Time | September Start | £14.25 per hour
Looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant role where you can make a real difference every day?
Axcis Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5 to 16 with autism and learning disabilities at a specialist school in Thornbury.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting in September. Following a successful 16-week settling-in period, the role will become permanent.
You'll be joining an Outstanding specialist school praised by Ofsted for its ambitious, personalised curriculum, exceptional relationships between staff and pupils, and calm, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Inspectors highlighted pupils' excellent behaviour, strong communication development and the school's commitment to preparing young people for life beyond education.
We're looking for someone with patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Previous school experience is welcome but not essential. Whether you've worked as a Support Worker, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Care Worker or you're looking to start a career as a Teaching Assistant, your personality and values are what matter most.
