Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient special needs teaching assistant to join a supportive school in Reading, working full-time with secondary-aged pupils who have severe challenging behaviour and complex needs. This role involves supporting non-verbal students and includes some personal care, so we are seeking someone who is confident, patient and committed to making a real difference in a young person’s daily school life. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent, structured support, help pupils regulate their emotions, and create a safe and positive learning environment. The position is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm and offers a daily rate of £89. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience in SEND or a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs, who can remain calm under pressure and build trusting relationships with pupils who need high levels of support.
