Axcis are currently recruiting for special needs teachers to cover on the day supply, short term and long term roles in mainstream and SEND schools, alternative provisions and pupil referral units. If you're looking for flexible day to day work or a long term role, we can offer you both and would love to hear from you! The hours are Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30pm term time.
If you've got experience working with children with special needs then this is a great way to gain a lot of experience within SEND quickly and to see how a lot of different settings work. We can help you find your niche.
We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the SEND sector; many of our consultants come from an education or health and social care background. Our relationships with our schools are very important to us and we've worked closely to build long term partnerships. This is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from schools about our consultants and the service they provide, as well as feedback on the candidates that work for them.
Professionalism is a must and you need to treat every assignment as if it is a permanent role, injecting a sense of purpose into the classroom and helping the school to the best of your ability. We want you to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff and to ensure effective classroom management in line with schools behaviour policy.
This is a temporary position.
