Axcis Education is currently recruiting dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in specialist schools and alternative provisions across Stockport and Tameside. The Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support students aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs • Work 1:1 or in small groups to promote engagement and positive behaviour • Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies • Help students regulate emotions and develop coping skills • Support learning both inside and outside the classroom • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils Many students may have additional needs such as ADHD, autism, trauma backgrounds, or challenging behaviour. Experience in similar settings is highly desirable.
