SEMH Teaching Assistant – Stockport
Location: Stockport (Primary & Secondary Schools)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £95.00 -£110 (dependent on experience)
Axcis Education is currently recruiting experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to register with us and support pupils across primary and secondary schools in the Stockport area.
We are working closely with several schools who are seeking dedicated SEMH TAs to provide 1:1 support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. These roles are ideal for confident, patient and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a real difference.
The role:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis
• Helping pupils manage behaviour, emotions and engagement in learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Creating a safe, supportive and positive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
• Experience in a school or alternative provision setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, empathetic and proactive approach
