Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant- Secondary- Hillingdon
London - West
Are you looking for your next challenge of working with children and young adults with SEND? Axcis Education is working closely with a secondary school in Hillingdon that is currently seeking a teaching assistant to support students with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. The position is to start as soon as possible. You will be required to follow all school policies. To nurture and support the pupils in your care, planning for next steps and helping to deliver interventions. Provide, plan and update support for the pupils in your class with additional needs. The ideal candidate will: - Have experience of working with teenage age children - Have recent and relevant references - Have a desire to become part of a committed team - Be committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people - Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service We can offer: - Competitive and fair rates of pay - Easy registration - Ongoing support and development - Additional training including but not limited to Team Teach, Makaton and Autism Awareness This is a temporary position. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
