SEMH Teaching Assistant – KS2 Trauma-Informed Support – Napton
Location: Napton, Southam
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
We are seeking a trauma-informed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Napton, supporting KS2 pupils who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Pupils often need support with behaviour regulation, trust-building and re-engaging with education.
The Role:
You will:
• Work closely with children who have SEMH needs and backgrounds of trauma.
• Support 1:1 and group sessions focused on emotional regulation.
• Use de-escalation techniques and a nurturing approach.
• Act as a mentor and role model, helping children develop trust and resilience.
• Collaborate with therapists, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
About You:
• Background in SEMH, youth work, care or trauma-informed support.
• Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain clear boundaries.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to provide consistent, structured support in challenging contexts.
