Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant
Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Secondary (SEND Support) Location: Andover Hours: 8:15am – 4:20pm, Monday to Friday Hourly Rate: £13.85 per hour Start Date: September 2025 Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? What the role involves: As a Teaching Assistant supporting SEND students, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted support tailored to individual learning needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting students in accessing the curriculum, supporting behavioural management strategies, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will also play a key role in encouraging independence and boosting the confidence of our students. Key requirements: Proven experience supporting secondary-aged students with SEND, either in a professional or personal capacity. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEND learners and strategies to support them effectively. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents alike. Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Why join us?
