Job Title: Primary SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Pay: Paid To Scale Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm, Full Time, Ongoing Start Date: Monday 1st September We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a forward-thinking primary school located in Wandsworth, London. This vital role involves assisting in the educational and social development of students with special educational needs and disabilities, including challenging behaviour, ADHD, and dyslexia. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to students with SEND, adapting to their individual needs to promote engagement and learning progression. • Work under the guidance of the SENCO and subject teachers to implement educational plans and learning activities. • Employ strategies to manage and positively influence students' behaviour, maintaining a calm and safe learning environment. • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring accessibility for all learners. • Facilitate small group activities and one-to-one support sessions to reinforce learning objectives. • Monitor, record, and report on students’ progress, contributing to reviews and assessments as required. • Promote the inclusion of all students, encouraging them to interact and work cooperatively with their peers.
