A successful SEN School based in the heart of Haringey, N17 is looking for SEN teaching assistants or support workers to assist their secondary pupils. This is an ongoing full time role to start ASAP. Monday - Friday, 8.30 am- 3.30pm. The school caters for pupils aged 11 - 18 years old with Autism, MLD, SLD, and speech and language delays. Teaching is carried out in small class sizes with a focus on language and communication development. As the sucessful SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to assist SEN pupils with learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. You will be required to support the Class Teacher in delivering tailored education programmes. You will be a positive and happy presence in class who is able to provide pupils with encouragement and praise. You will be creative, able to think outside the box of how to make the learning fun and accessible for the SEN students. !
