Job Title: Primary Trauma Learning Support Assistant
Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team from September 2025. This rewarding role focuses on supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced early-life trauma. As a Trauma Learning Support Assistant, you will: -Provide close, consistent support to help implement personalised provision plans. -Work alongside pupils to model and encourage calming strategies, supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour. -Build strong, trusting relationships that promote self-esteem, resilience, and learning. -Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure children’s needs are met holistically. We are looking for someone who is: -Calm under pressure and able to think on their feet. -Resilient and patient, with a genuine passion for helping children with SEMH thrive. -Committed to creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment. This is a full-time position (8:50am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday) with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
