Primary Teaching Assistants - ASD - Lambeth FT - London - Central - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Axcis is currently looking for a primary teaching assistants on behalf of one our clients based in Lambeth. It is for a centre for Autism, attached to a primary school; there are over 50 pupils on role. The fairly central location of the school makes it easily accessible by public transport. The school itself is part of a larger group of schools, and it possesses two additional sites, one of which this vacancy is for. Candidates will be working with pupils aged 5-11, and as such the ideal applicant will possess the necessary experience supporting this age group - be it in a 1-to-1 capacity or working within the classroom with other TAs. Given the nature of the role, successful candidates will possess PECS, TEACCH and other similar training. Teaching Assistants and LSAs with experience supporting autism are urged to apply.
This is a September long-term role with interviews and trials being conducted over the next few weeks before the end of the academic year.
- DBS or willingness to pay £50 for a new one (if not on update service)
- Previous TA/LSA experience with ASD.
- A committed, reliable and dependable individual willing to meet the needs of the pupils, and the school.
- PECS, TEACCH, Team Teach and other similar training. (required).
