Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant - Autism - Halesowen
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for an experienced teaching assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Halesowen on a long term temporary basis. In this role you'll be expected to provide support for a student in KS1 with autism and mild learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis. You may be required to support the student both in and out of class including mealtimes and break times. The school are ideally looking for a teaching assistant with previous experience of supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). However they are willing to look at teaching assistants without this experience if the candidate is able to demonstrate the right attitude and a willingness to learn. This is a full time position that is available to start immediately and the successful teaching assistant will be required to work 8:30am - 3:45pm Monday to Friday. Whilst access to your own transport is preferred due to the location of the school, there are public transport links nearby. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fantastic primary school. There is excellent potential for progression in this school. With many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Nikki Jackson at Axcis Education on 0121 516 3024.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
