Axcis Education are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a primary SEND school in Cheltenham that specifically supports pupils with Autism, SEMH and ADHD. The majority of pupils have been referred to the school from mainstream education and students can be referred at any point of the year. Pupils will work at the school for a short or long period of time with some completing their primary education with the school if suitable and others returning to mainstream education. The school has an excellent and supportive staff and senior leadership team and the pupils are predominately from the Gloucester, Cheltenham and surrounding areas. Each class has between 5-12 pupils and have high staffing levels to support pupils. This means you will be working with an excellent and experienced team who care about child welfare. Ideally, the school are looking for staff who have experience as a teaching assistant but this is not essential, instead you must be able to form positive bonds and be creative with supporting pupils as well as having a proactive approach and work well with a team and independently. The school are looking for staff to start on a full time basis working between 08:30 and 15:30 each day Monday to Friday ASAP and would be for at least the rest of the academic year but more than likely, to continue on in September for the right candidate.
