Role Summary As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will: Provide targeted behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies for pupils with SLD/PMLD, ASC and complex needs. Work closely with class teams, therapists and senior colleagues to develop, implement and review personalised Positive Behaviour Support plans for individual pupils. Use de-escalation techniques, proactive intervention and therapeutic approaches to enable pupils to engage meaningfully in their schooling and develop social, communication and independence skills. Monitor behaviour data, report and reflect on patterns, support adaptations to practice and contribute to a supportive, consistent environment where pupils feel safe, valued and understood. Assist in implementing strategies with class teams, support transitions or sensory regulation breaks, and help maintain a calm and responsive atmosphere across the setting. Engage with families, multi-agency professionals and the wider school community to ensure a coordinated approach to each pupil’s needs and behaviour support.
