Position: PMLD Teacher Location: Shepperton, Surrey Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 08:00-15:30 Salary: Paid to scale About the role We are seeking a dedicated PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Teacher to join our specialist team in Shepperton. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, person-centred education and therapeutic support to children and young people with complex needs, fostering independence, communication, and wellbeing in a supportive community setting. Key Responsibilities • Plan, implement and evaluate tailored curriculum programmes aligned with individual health and care plans. • Deliver inclusive lessons using multi-sensory, assistive-technology and therapeutic approaches. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, families and external agencies to ensure holistic care. • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and produce regular reports for stakeholders. • Contribute to team meetings, training sessions and continuous-improvement initiatives. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. • Experience teaching or supporting learners with profound and multiple learning disabilities. • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, behaviour management and safeguarding. • Excellent communication, empathy and teamwork skills.
