Calling all teachers! Looking for your next teaching challenge? Then look no further!
This fantastic teacher opportunity through Axcis is at an Ealing based school that boasts an outstanding OFSTED rating. This is a well known mixed all-age school that caters for children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
You will need to be confident in leading a class of students with severe SEN needs whilst managing and utilising your team of support. Lesson planning and preparation for PMLD and SLD students will be of second nature to you as the school are looking for their next teacher who can settle in independently.
The students in your care will have a variety of needs so exposure to similar PMLD and SLD settings would be key. Teaching a KS3/KS4 class these students will be working at varying P levels and will have regular access to therapeutic and medical services. The successful teacher will have experience in liaising with external services, parents and colleagues in line with each of their students EHC plans.
The school has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment, and is well liked by all staff we have sent to them in the past. Their overall aim is to provide an educational environment which celebrates the uniqueness of every child by being flexible and responsive to the complex needs of each pupil and guide their learning to enable them to succeed.
You will become part of a multi-professional team which will be crucial to providing the best possible education and life opportunities for the pupils at this school. The school has a fantastic support structure and offers excellent resources for all of their teachers and support staff. In addition, experience with Makaton and/or PECS would be advantageous but not essential for this post.
Do you want to join a community where you will be valued, supported and developed? Then this is the role for you!
If you are interested, then please contact Jack Hurn at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.
This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
