An all boys Secondary Academy based in Lambeth is looking for Pastoral and Learning support Assistants (PALS) to join them in as soon as possible. Many of the students within the academy have been permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or require additional support to positively transition them back into mainstream education.
The ideal teaching assistant will be energetic and creative and be able to motivate and inspire pupils within their care. The role involves supporting young people between the ages of 10 to 16 (Key Stage 3 - 4) successfully engage in learning, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will ideally have previous experience dealing with SEMH and Challenging behaviour. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential.
This is an amazing position for someone who is passionate about working with students with challenging behaviour and an opportunity to be a positive role model and make a real difference.
This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible and will continue on for the rest of the academic year.
