SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) – Year 5 (Part-Time) Location: Marylebone Station Days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (3 days per week) Start: 23rd February 2026 We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded private school, providing 1:1 support within a Year 5 class. This role involves supporting two pupils: -One pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who presents with behavioural needs -One pupil with Dyslexia requiring targeted literacy support The Role: -Provide consistent, tailored 1:1 support to meet each child’s individual learning and behavioural needs -Deliver and implement appropriate interventions, particularly for dyslexia (e.g. structured literacy, phonics-based approaches, reading and spelling support) -Apply effective strategies to support attention, engagement, and emotional regulation -Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt planning and monitor progress -Promote confidence, independence, and academic progress The Ideal Candidate Will: -Have substantial experience supporting Year 5 pupils -Demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum -Have significant experience supporting children with ASD and Dyslexia -Be confident in selecting and delivering appropriate dyslexia interventions and evidence-based strategies -Have strong behaviour management skills -Be reliable and available to work Monday to Wednesday This role requires someone proactive, knowledgeable, and confident in implementing targeted support strategies to ensure both pupils thrive academically and socially.
