Job Title: Outreach Teaching Assistant - Torbay
Axcis Education is proud to be working in close partnership with a specialist independent provision in Torbay, currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
If you’re passionate about helping young people grow in confidence, manage their emotions and succeed in education, this could be a genuinely rewarding opportunity.
Key Details
• Pay: £125-£145 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
• Start Date: ASAP or September start available
About the Role
You’ll work alongside teachers and support staff to create a positive and structured learning environment. Your role will involve:
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and stay engaged
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong, supportive relationships with students
• Contributing to a calm, safe and nurturing classroom environment

• Recent graduates
• Current or former educators
