Job Title: Outreach Support Worker
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: Long term
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
• Location: SK12
• Due to the location, candidates should ideally have access to their own transport. However, lift arrangements may be possible from Disley village.
We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support KS1/KS2 students in specialist educational setting. This is a rewarding role for an experienced candidate, the role would allow you to utilise your talents of emotional regulation and academic support. You will be supported by a highly experienced team who offer brilliant CPD opportunities
The role would centre around supporting students who experience challenges with emotional regulation. We are therefore looking for nurturing, calm and consistent individuals who can build a positive relationship with students, whilst also maintaining clear and firm boundaries to help make students eel safe, secure and understood.
Key requirements:
• Experience working within a KS2 setting
• Strong understanding of SEN needs, particularly SEMH/trauma-informed approaches
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a way the pupil can understand
• Patient, resilient and able to adapt to the individual needs of the pupil
• DBS on the Update Service
