Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
Mental Health Support Worker – School-Based (Birkenhead)
Start: ASAP | Pay: From £13.79 per hour
We are currently seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Support Worker to join a supportive school in Birkenhead, working closely with students who require emotional and mental health support.
?? The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Supporting emotional regulation, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
Helping students develop coping strategies and resilience
Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals
Creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment within the school
?? The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children or young people with mental health or SEMH needs
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively
Passionate about supporting young people to succeed
