Requirement: Maths tutoring experience, or strong Maths subject knowledge.
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-supported Independent Specialist School in Totnes, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time opportunity to take responsibility for providing 1:1 mathematics learning to a post-16 student who has autism and complex needs. Some of the contents you will be required to deliver will include A-level Mathematics. The school benefits from a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who prioritise staff development, wellbeing, and collaborative working.
The Role:
Delivering 1;1 Mathematics' Learning, including to A-level standard.
Planning, delivering, and assessing learning
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate:
Is very competent with their Mathematics subject knowledge.
Has experience tutoring or teaching Mathematics on a 1:1 or group basis.
Demonstrates strong relationship building skills, particularly for students with SEND.
Is passionate, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
