Maths/Science Teacher (1:1 SEND Provision) – Near Totnes
Part-time – Immediate Start | Competitive Daily Rate (£135-£210), depending on qualifications and experience| Specialist Independent Provision| Open to qualified and non-qualified teachers.
Axcis Education is proud to be working in partnership with a unique independent specialist provision on the outskirts of Totnes, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Maths/Science Teacher to support their students with SEND on a 1:1 basis.
This rewarding role involves delivering GCSE-level content in Maths, Science, or both, to students with a range of additional needs – predominantly autism. The provision provides a calm, individualised environment where students can thrive, and the successful candidate will play a key part in their academic and personal development.
Key Details:
Location: Outskirts of Totnes, Devon (own transport essential)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Schedule:
-2 days/week if delivering either Maths or Science
-4 days/week if delivering both subjects
Students: Secondary age and Post 16, 1:1 teaching with a focus on SEND (primarily autism)
Content: GCSE-level delivery in either Maths, Science or both.
Requirements:
Experience teaching Maths and/or Science at GCSE level
Previous experience or strong interest in working with students with SEND, especially autism
Ability to work independently and adapt to a bespoke 1:1 setting
Must be a driver and have access to a vehicle (location not accessible via public transport).
