Job Title: Mainstream Teaching Assistant
Axcis are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for an immediate start to support students with challenging behaviour who are at risk of exclusion. You’ll be playing a vital role in helping these students access the curriculum and achieve their potential. This school is based in East London and this position is full-time and ongoing.
Duties will include:
• Provide in-class support to students with challenging behaviour who are at risk of exclusion across KS3 and KS4.
• Work closely with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support student behaviour and engagement.
• Help students develop self-regulation skills, social skills and emotional intelligence.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers and parents/carers.
• Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff.
