Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Position: Learning Support Assistant Location: Walton, Surrey Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30?am – 4:00?pm Salary: Paid to scale About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive educational team in Walton. You will work closely with teachers and students to create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic progress and personal growth. Key Responsibilities • Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance to pupils with identified learning needs. • Implement individualized support plans and monitor student progress. • Prepare and adapt resources, ensuring accessibility for all learners. • Support classroom management, reinforcing positive behaviour strategies. • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external specialists to facilitate coordinated support. • Record observations and contribute to regular assessment reports. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Level 2 (or above) qualification in Learning Support, Special Educational Needs, or a related field. • Experience working with children of varied ages and abilities, preferably in a school setting. • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Desirable Attributes • First Aid or Safeguarding training. • Knowledge of the latest SEND legislation and best practices.
