Learning Support Assistant – Hampton, London

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-15:30 (Full-time)
Salary: Paid to scale
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our vibrant school community in Hampton. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that enables every pupil to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide targeted, one-to-one or small-group assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
• Support classroom teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
• Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with teachers and senior staff.
• Foster positive behaviour, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Assist with the preparation of learning resources and the maintenance of a safe, organised classroom.
• Contribute to pastoral care by building trusting relationships with students and families.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (minimum grade 4/C).
• Experience working with children in an educational or care setting (school, college, or youth service).
• Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and inclusive practice.
• Strong communication, patience, and a collaborative attitude.
• DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
