Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a caring and reliable SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and autism in a welcoming secondary school in Kenilworth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in care, special education, or complex needs.
The Role:
You will:
• Work closely with students aged 11–16 who require high levels of support.
• Deliver tailored support in literacy, numeracy, life skills, and sensory activities.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in classroom routines.
• Provide physical or personal care support where required.
• Collaborate with SENCOs and class teams to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
About You:
• Experience supporting individuals with SLD, autism, or developmental delays.
• Comfortable supporting non-verbal pupils and using assistive resources.
• Calm, empathetic, and committed to inclusive practice.
• Background in special schools, care work or learning support is desirable.
