Job Title: Learning Coach
Axcis Education is working in partnership with an alternative provision in Exeter, to recruit a full-time Learning Coach. This is a rewarding and impactful role supporting students aged 11–16 who face barriers to mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH, and trauma-related needs.

Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
Build positive relationships and act as a trusted, consistent adult figure
Use a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach to behaviour support
Assist with academic engagement and pastoral care across a creative curriculum
Work closely with teachers and external professionals to support individual learning plans
Support enrichment activities, off-site learning, and daily routines
Requirements:
Experience supporting children or young people or adults with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or similar needs
Calm, patient, and empathetic attitude
Ability to build rapport with young people and support emotional regulation
Good communication and teamwork skills
