KS1 Teacher (Year 2) - Full-Time Teaching Job - Leatherhead, Surrey Location: Leatherhead, Surrey Start Date: September 2026 Job Type: Full Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:00pm Salary: £150 to £180 per day (PAYE), dependent on experience KS1 Teacher Job in Leatherhead We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Infant School in Leatherhead, Surrey from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or confident KS1 practitioner to take responsibility for a Year 2 class and make a positive impact on pupils' learning, development and achievement. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging lessons, creating a nurturing classroom environment and ensuring every child reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver creative, engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum. Lead and manage a Year 2 class effectively. Assess, monitor and track pupil progress. Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and learning needs. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom management. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents. Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Contribute positively to the wider school community. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1. Experience teaching Year 2 is desirable. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment framework. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, planning and organisational skills. Confidence using Google Classroom, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the platform, as it is used throughout the school to support teaching and learning. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. What We Offer Competitive daily pay of £150 to £180 PAYE. Full-time teaching role with consistent work.
