This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or confident KS1 practitioner to take responsibility for a Year 2 class and make a positive impact on pupils' learning, development and achievement. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging lessons, creating a nurturing classroom environment and ensuring every child reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver creative, engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum. Lead and manage a Year 2 class effectively. Assess, monitor and track pupil progress. Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and learning needs. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom management. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents. Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Contribute positively to the wider school community. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1. Experience teaching Year 2 is desirable. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment framework. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, planning and organisational skills. Confidence using Google Classroom, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the platform, as it is used throughout the school to support teaching and learning.
