Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Torbay who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support in Key Stage 2. This is a full time, permanent position (temp to perm), starting in September 2026.
The mainstream primary school is a wonderful three-from entry primary school located in Torquay. The school has a fantastic reputation within the local community, with parents and residents commenting on the wide curriculum offering behaviour of pupils and strong values the school promotes.
Key Information:
•Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
•Location: Torbay
•Start Date: September 2026
•Contract: Full Time, Permanent
•Hours: 8.45-3.15
•Pay: £14.25-£16.00 p/h, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
•To support students on both a 1;1 basis and small group basis.
•Demonstrate a proactive attitude, supporting with learning across the curriculum
•Form positive relationships with all learners
•Confidently establish consistent boundaries with children
•Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and pupils.
