We are currently recruiting multiple experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming all-age special needs school in Worcester. This inclusive and supportive school caters to students with a range of moderate to severe Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for both pupils and staff.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a team dedicated to helping pupils thrive both academically and socially. You will work closely with children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, supporting their learning, development, and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs
• Assist with behaviour management, social development, and daily routines
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
• Help children achieve personal and educational progress
Requirements:
• UK experience in a school or nursery setting – Essential
• Proven experience supporting children with SEND – Essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, energetic, and resilient approach
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for someone looking to make a lasting impact in a special school environment. While these positions are officially starting in September 2025, early placements are available for the right candidates who can start before the end of the academic year.
