Job Title: ASD Mainstream Primary School Teaching Assistant Sandwell
Location: Sandwell (B66)
Start Date: September 2025
Position: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Pay: From £89 per day/ £13.86 per hour
We are currently recruiting several experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time roles in a welcoming primary school in Sandwell, starting in September. These are long-term roles, with a commitment required for at least one full academic year.
You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, offering support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
• Support pupils with academic, emotional, and social development
• Follow and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
• School experience is essential
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential
• Positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
