HLTA – Full-Time – September Start – Harrow Axcis is proud to be working with a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Harrow that is looking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and proactive individual to step into a pivotal support role within a collaborative school environment. This full-time position is ideal for someone with strong pastoral experience who is committed to supporting student wellbeing and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with parents, carers, and staff to implement, monitor, and review individual student success plans. Serve as a key communication link between families and the school, ensuring effective and timely updates. Provide support in managing Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Lead conflict resolution meetings to help address issues and maintain a positive school climate. Plan and deliver structured mentoring sessions to assist targeted learners with their academic and personal development. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting, ideally at secondary level. Confidence and skill in supporting students with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
