Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Autism Specific SEND School
HLTA Required for All-Age Autism-Specific SEND School Axcis is working with a an all-age school catering to the individuals with a primary diagnosis of Autism (ASC). The school is based within the Wolverhampton area and has good transport links as well as ample parking facilities. The school is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will support learning activities for individuals and groups of learners 2-fold; 1. Through planning, preparing and delivering learning activities, 2. Monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting learner’s achievement, progress and development. You will also be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school; training teaching assistants and monitoring their work within this specialist area. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and a minimum of 5 years working as a teaching assistant within a special school environment is key along with proficiency within Literacy, Numeracy and ICT. A level 4 HLTA qualification would be highly desirable but it not essential.
