A welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury (BL9) is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and eager to gain classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a long-term career in education. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in helping pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, while contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support teachers in delivering creative and interactive lessons Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to boost pupil progress Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom management Encourage pupil participation and engagement in learning activities Support children with additional learning needs where required Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment Contribute to school life, including assemblies, trips, and enrichment activities Requirements: A degree in any subject (minimum 2:2 preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive, enthusiastic, and caring approach to working with children A genuine passion for education and helping young learners succeed Previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential This is a full-time, temporary position for the entire academic year, offering a competitive daily rate of £89 to £105, depending on experience and qualifications.
