Graduate Mental Health Support in School Specialist Provision – Monmouth Axcis Education are working closely with a specialist educational provision in Monmouth is currently seeking graduate-level support staff to work with children and young people who present with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. You will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team committed to helping pupils reach their potential through tailored learning and emotional support. The role will involve: • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs • Supporting the delivery of structured and creative learning activities both inside and outside the classroom • Encouraging emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and personal development • Promoting engagement in education through personalised, pupil-led approaches • Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet individual needs Ideal candidates will: • Be graduates in psychology, criminology, education, youth work, or a related field • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (essential due to multiple school locations) • Be passionate about supporting vulnerable learners and improving mental health outcomes • Be resilient, proactive, and comfortable working in environments where behaviour can be complex and challenging • Be flexible and willing to work across different sites in Monmouth as needed Outdoor learning plays a key role in this provision, so a positive, hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved in active or practical sessions are essential.
