Job Title: Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Post-16 Education

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a post-16 education setting in Bristol, supporting students with additional needs as they prepare for adulthood, employment and independent living.
About the Role
You will be working full-time (Monday-Friday, 9am-4:30pm) as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting students aged 16+ with a range of additional learning needs. Support may take place in classrooms, workshops, vocational environments or specialist learning spaces.
Your role will include:
• Supporting students to access lessons and learning activities
• Working 1:1 or with small groups
• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement
• Supporting communication, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with daily routines and personal development
• Working closely with lecturers, SEN staff and support teams
This is a hands-on, rewarding role that offers excellent insight into post-16 education and SEN support.

• Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties

• Communication difficulties

No two days are the same, and you’ll gain valuable experience working with young adults at a key transition point in their lives.

Additional Information
• Location: Bristol
• Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
• Pay: £14 per hour (depending on experience)
• Weekly pay every Friday

What You’ll Need
• A Child & Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to Work in the UK
• A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
• Patience, empathy and a willingness to learn
Previous experience is helpful but not essential — the right attitude matters most.
