Axcis are looking for Teachers and TAs to work in a large SEND (special needs) school situated in four locations across Bristol. The school caters for pupils aged 3-19 years old from early years and KS1-KS5. Pupils have SEND needs such as autism, Asperger's, complex needs, severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. Many of the pupils have EHCP plans.
The school uses the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) and aims to support pupils to improve their resilience, emotional intelligence and self awareness. The school sites are across Bristol in Napier Miles, Brightstowe, Shirehampton and Ashley Down. Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, the school is popular with our staff and many really enjoy their time there. The school are looking for teachers and teaching assistants to start full time in January till the end of term. The school day is from 8:30-3:30pm.
We're looking for patient, kind and empathetic teaching assistants. We're looking for people who are experienced working with people with learning difficulties or with children and who can confidently interact with them and build trust and rapport. Teaching Assistants will need to have a Team Teach qualification.
To work for us you will need to come in for a one hour registration meeting and you need to have a DBS on the update service. If your DBS isn't on the update service you will need to get a new one and we will also need a minimum of two references.
