Axcis, the UK’s leading SEND recruitment agency, is currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs and ASD in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Southwark.
About the Role:
• Full-time position, Monday to Friday (term-time only).
• Start date: 6th October 2025.
• Supporting children with a range of complex needs, including autism.
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Providing personal care when required.
• Collaborating with teachers and the wider school team to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience working in a special needs school or supporting pupils with complex needs.
• Confident, resilient, and able to manage challenging behaviour.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
• Comfortable with personal care duties.
• Able to commit to the hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
