Job Title: Flexible Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting teaching assistants and learning support assistants (TA, LSA) to work in a special educational needs (SEND) department in a mainstream secondary school in Swindon. The ideal candidate will: -have experience working with autistic individuals -be highly proactive and build strong rapports with students as some students struggle with communicating their needs -be reliable, consistent and committed to helping these students to thrive -have a great sense of humour: the students and staff enjoy working in a relaxed, fun learning environment -have a DBS on the update service (or be able to get one) This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 3.30. You will be working closely in a team of adults in a small SEND department. The school encourage integration, so you will be working across the department and the mainstream school, consequently you must be confident building links between both settings. This is an on-going role and could become permanent for the right person.
