Early Years Teaching Assistant required for 'Outstanding' Special school in Southwark. - London - SE - Role: SEN TA Jobs
A well respected, 'Outstanding' primary special school in Southwark is urgently looking for an experienced Early Years practitioner to join their staff team on a flexible and temporary contract.
This special school caters for students aged 2-11 years, affected with severe autism, complex needs and SLD. Therefore the ideal SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant will have extensive experience working with students with similar difficulties. Those Early Years Teaching Assistants with experience of using alternative communication tools (such as PECS and/or Makaton), providing personal care and assisting with feeding will be at a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will be required to work with students across the Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS) 1:1 and in small groups, assisting the class teacher and maintaining student needs.
The ideal candidates will possess the personal attributes of enthusiasm, compassion, professionalism and reliability. Due to the nature of the needs of the students attending this school, continuity of staff members is paramount. Therefore the ability to commit to this school and assist where needed with flexibility and positivity is essential.
This position does have the potential to turn permanent for exceptional candidate.
