Axcis Education are currently looking for Early Years SEND teachers to work at a 'Good' SEND school based in Taunton on a full-time basis ASAP.
The school caters for pupils aged between 3 - 11 years old with Severe Learning Difficulties, and many of their pupils also have an additional diagnosis of Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism. Classes are small and the school's support staff are committed SEND specialists.
The ideal teacher will be a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher with relevant SEND experience and a sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum. Mainstream Primary school teachers, NQTs and Overseas Trained Teachers with a passion for SEND are welcome to apply. You should have an innovative and flexible approach to teaching who is keen to make each pupils learning experience exciting and engaging.
The school is purpose built with excellent facilities and modern resources and was rated 'good' upon its last OFSTED report. It is easily accessible via public transport and also has private parking amenities.
This role is to start ASAP and will be a full-time role that continues on for the rest of the academic year. There is potential for this role to become permanent.
o Early Years SEND teacher - SLD, ASD and PMLD

o Must have QTS
o Demonstrable knowledge of and a passion for SEND
o Sound Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
o Makaton and PECS -not essential but highly desirable
o Experience working with SLD, ASD or PMLD
o SEND school catering for pupils aged between 3 - 11 years old
