Job Title: Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant
Early Years SEND TA – Autism & Speech Delay – Rainham
From £89/day | EYFS | Rainham | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
Axcis are working closely with a lovely mainstream primary school in Rainham who are seeking an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with autism, sensory needs and early communication delays. The school is known for its excellent early intervention provision, creative EYFS team and caring, warm environment. It is just a five-minute walk from Rainham Station and offers free staff parking.
In this role, you will be:
• Supporting a child with autism and speech delay with communication, engagement and sensory regulation.
• Using visuals, PECS/Makaton (training provided), modelling and structured play.
• Helping with routines, transitions and emotional regulation throughout the day.
• Setting up sensory and language-based activities to encourage communication and interaction.
• Working collaboratively with the SENCO, class teacher and Speech & Language Therapist to track progress.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in Early Years, SEND or speech and language support.
• A nurturing, patient personality who enjoys working with young children.
• Someone creative, hands-on and enthusiastic about early childhood development.
• Commitment to full-time, long-term work.
