Job Title: Digital Skills Tutor
Axcis Education are working closely with a secondary school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school follow a very thorough trauma-informed approach. The school are currently looking to appoint a Digital Skills Tutor. This is an excellent opportunity for an unqualified teacher or functional skills tutor, who is passionate about helping young people develop essential digital and life skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
You will deliver an engaging digital skills programme (functional skills – entry level) designed to prepare students for life and work in the modern world. Lessons will cover practical and empowering topics such as:
•Using Microsoft Office programmes effectively (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Reading and creating spreadsheets
•Drafting and formatting CVs
•Understanding online safety and digital wellbeing
The school offers strong digital support and resources to help you deliver an interactive and meaningful curriculum.
Axcis Education are looking for someone who:
•Has experience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH and/or ASD
•Is resilient, calm under pressure, and able to support students in self-regulation
•Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people
•Has a genuine passion for making digital learning accessible and engaging for all learners
